Frequency Standard FN-OCXO

The Frequency Standard FN77-OCXO provides a 10 MHz standard frequency signal (sine wave and TTL-outputs) with excellent technical specifications. The internal precision quartz-crystal oscillator (OCXO) with high spectral purity is controlled and synchronized to the transmitted reference signal DCF 77 of the German National Calibration Institute PTB (Physikalisch-Technische-Bundesanstalt). All variations of the internal quartz-crystal oscillator from the received reference signal are compensated continuously. The incoming RF signal level, the ageing process and stability of the quartz-crystal oscillator are displayed at analogue meters. Two LED's are giving an indication about the qualitity of the received RF signal level and status of the frequency control. Time constants of 15 minutes or 2 hours can be selected.

Frequency Standard FN-GPS and
Rubidium-Frequency Standard FN-GPS/R

The Frequency Standards FN-GPS (OCXO) and FN-GPS/R (Rubidium) provide a 10 MHz standard frequency and 2.048 MHz clock output (as option) with high spectral purity. The accuracy and stability of the output frequencies are controlled by the timing signals of the GPS satellite system. The internal oscillator frequency is continuously monitored and corrected by the timing signals of the GPS satellite system. The specified frequency accuracy is guaranteed anytime - even under worst case conditions - by using best possible time constants. Any other output frequencies than 10 MHz are generated by direct digital synthesis (DDS). The world-wide availability of GPS signals and the external battery operation allows the application at any in-house or field locations. The weather-proof GPS antenna can be mounted quickly and easily. The supplied antenna cable (15 m) can be extended by another 50 m cable without affecting the instrument's function. An antenna amplifier is required for a cable length more than 65 m.

Frequency Standard FNX-GPS

The SG 1000 series of synthesized signal generators cover a wide range of carrier frequencies from 9 kHz to 1000 MHz with excellent spectral purity and comprehensive modulation facilities. Two different models of the SG 1000 series are available, an economical version with a switching time of 1 ms (BN 86204.000) between any frequencies and a high performance version with 1 µs / 15 µs (BN 86204.001) high-speed switching. Frequency changes less than 1 MHz are phase-continuous. The operation of SG 1000 is very simple by a softkey menu selection of modes. All instrument settings and signal parameters can be entered by numeric keyboard, rotary control knob and increment-decrement keys. The step size may be varied by the user in a wide range. A backlight LCD display presents all measurement setup menus.

Phase Standard PN-GPS for ripple control

Basically the Phase Standard PN-GPS is a Frequency Standard with some additional features. The PN-GPS generates master pilots for audio frequency ripple controlled systems - for example power utility companies. The master pilot must be in mutually phase-locked position to the central base station at any decentralized network elements. The required master pilot - an audio signal - is generated from the GPS disciplined OCXO. Time and frequency, referenced to the worldwide UTC standard, is made available free of charge through the use of the GPS satellite system. At any locations in the world synchronization signals can be generated decentrally by the GPS time signals which are in mutually phase-locked position. The required master pilot is generated from the oscillator frequency phase-locked to the GPS time signals by using DDS technique (Direct Digital Synthesis).
