Tabor Electronics' Model WW1281 wins "Honorable Mention" in Best in Test 2006

Tel-Hanan Israel, January 2006 - Tabor Electronics announced today that its Model WW1281 captured Honorable Mention in the "Test and Measurement" Best in Test 2006 awards. Tabor was cited as bringing a significant technological advancement to market in the test industry with best price-performance ratio and in a compact package.

The WW1281 Single/Differential Channel Frequency Agile Waveform generator combines industry-leading 1.2GS/s sample clock performance, frequency agility and modulation capability in a stand-alone package. Equipped with a large waveform memory (8M standard, 16M optional), and sequence generator with five different advanced modes, there is virtually no waveform that cannot be output. The 1281's unique design allows creation of very large, complex waveforms up to 500MHz with 12 bits of resolution, while retaining exceptional flatness and noise performance. All this in a compact, half -rack, 2U box at an affordable price.

Model WW1281 is the top-of-the-line in the recently introduced Wonder Wave Series. Ranging from 50MS/s to 1.2GS/s, featuring 7 different models, the Wonder Wave Series is designed to perform a wide range of applications from the simplest standard functions to the most complex creation of extended and challenging waveforms. Common to all models in the series is the unique front panel design with 3.5" LCD color user-friendly display, and compact, lightweight (3.5 Kg) all-metal packaging. LAN, USB and GPIB interfaces sharing similar SCPI command set, large memory, memory management, digital outputs, various modulation and multi-instruments synchronization to create compact multi-channel systems for I&Q modulation and other applications.

"The main challenge was to combine multiple and state-of-the-art functionality into a single product while keeping size and price at minimum", said Moti Glazer, CEO of Tabor Electronics. Ron Glazer, Business Development Manager added, "The combination of features in the Model 1281 allows addressing applications in numerous market segments and supporting test stimulus demands of the information age. Thanks to leading-edge technology and integration, the same instrument can be used on the bench or in GPIB, USB, LAN, or LXI systems with the capability to generate standard, arbitrary, sequenced, digital and analog modulation and complex pulse waveforms, each of which performs as a single, stand-alone instrument."

"The Test & Measurement World Best in Test awards are a 16 year tradition of recognizing the best in test, measurement and inspections products. We are proud to recognize Tabor's achievement with a 2006 Honorable Mention for the WW1281", said Russ Pratt, publisher TMW
