Overview of the GPRS System

Target Audience

The course is intended for personnel needing a technical overview of GPRS System.

Objectives

After successfully completing the course the student will:

• Understand the purpose of implementing packet switching in the existing GSM system.

• Understand how a terminal uses the GPRS system to access other networks such as corporate LAN or the internet

• Understand the GPRS architecture

• Know the interface looks like in GPRS as well as the logical channels.
